It was distracting to see Jonathan Rhys Meyers (as Brian Slade) all feminine and glittery but since his performance was amazing, it kinda outweighed the fact that he's a promiscuous glam rocker. Even when he was dressed up in those skin-tight leotards, spandex or whatever, he looks sort of hot. :o
Ewan McGregor. Eh. The only thing I liked about him in the film is his funky resemblance to Kurt Cobain. His singing was horrible, in my humble opinion. I'd rather hear him belt out love songs from Moulin Rouge than attempt to "rock out". His infamous "flashing the crowd" scene was... umm.. never mind. AAAAANND as for Christian Bale.. My eyes! Actually, the fact that Bale was wearing hideous eye make-up (I *think* most of the time) was one of the reasons why I didn't like it. Aww. However, the Brian/Curt kiss was pretty intense. lol.
There are a lot of great songs in the soundtrack. My favorite song from the soundtrack would probably be "Ballad of Maxwell Demon". I wish they included Jonathan Rhys Meyer's version though. Special mention: "Baby's On Fire". Love that song.

Too bad this will be a straight-to-dvd release in the US. It isn't that bad if you haven't watched the original... I think. I was sort of disappointed because it's directed by Yann Samuell, the director of Jeux d'Enfants. It has a similar feel but no magic.
I need to watch this again before I write anything else. Hehe. I'll give it another chance!! omg!
** POST WILL BE EDITED SOON!**
I haven't watched a lot of movies that took place in rehab centers, but Girl, Interrupted was better. Hehe. So basically, it was ok. Nothing spectacular with the story. Although, Cillian Murphy was so cute. His hat/head gear whatever was cute. And Cillian wearing pajamas! Hahaha!
I only bought this because the dvd was on sale and CILLIAN MURPHY IS IN IT. He's creepy-hot. I think I need to watch this again though. Smashing Pumpkins in the soundtrack deserves plus points!

And what's up with the leopard? Haha!
I loved Katherine Hepburn in this film. I thought she only did serious roles.
And I was really surprised to see a geeky, cute, and uptight Cary Grant.
The movie was too long though. I thought some scenes should have ended sooner. But I think that the length of the film was normal during the early decades of Hollywood.
I think I need to watch this again.
